John Witherden
John Witherden has lived most of his life in Sussex apart from two short spells in Australia and New Zealand, and has two sons and two daughters all of whom seem to be cleverer and more talented than him.
Originally from the printing industry he became involved in a variety of small businesses including hot tub sales, holiday flat rentals, marketing and fundraising support for charities and now drives a long distance taxi and works as a business consultant for small businesses to help fund his writing.
Janet Brewster
Janet Brewster was born in Hampstead, grew up in North London (apart from wartime evacuation to Taunton and Newport). Worked as a legal secretary and social worker in London and overseas, while continuing to be a Sunday painter and poet.
Married Doug Morrison in 1952 who worked in the Diplomatic Service and was posted to the former Rhodesia and Malawi over a period of 15 years apart from the 5 apey years spent in the Gambia.
Had a one-woman art exhibition in Malawi in 1975 and has always had a passion for painting and drawing as well writing and poetry. At the age of 52 she put on a backpack and travelled extensively around India. Janet now lives in Rottingdean, Sussex with sanity restored.

Chistopher L Vickers
Chris Vickers has been working in the printing and publishing industry for over forty years. To follow this interest he works as a volunteer in the Print Shop at the Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre in West Sussex. He is also a qualified NVQ assessor, mentoring and guiding printing apprentices and students through their qualifications.
He is currently writing a series of books based on the talks and lectures he gives to students and visitors to the museum.
