PRICING -  Individual estimates for work are based on our current production costs and are valid for 30 days from the estimate date.

 

VAT Value added tax is zero rated for books and magazines (subject to content). All courier dispatch, packing and other extraneous charges are subject to VAT at the standard rate.

 

PAYMENT. Payment should be made via either cheque payable to J Witherden  (J Witherden trades as Different Books) or BACS payment to sort code 08-92-49 a/c 07063587, The Co-Operative Bank, Western Road, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 2BB

 

ELECTRONIC FILES It is your responsibility to maintain a copy of any files submitted for printing. We accept no liability for loss of data from files supplied in either digital or hardcopy or files of pictures, prints or slides. ALWAYS KEEP A COPY OF YOUR FILES.

 

CONTENT - By submitting material to us, you represent and warrant at all times during the term of this agreement that the content of material submitted meets the following criteria:-

 

 

a) That the content does not contain any personal data / information about any other individual other than you, or that you have their permission to provide such content to us for printing.

 

b) That the content is owned by you or, if owned by someone else, that you have permission from them to provide the content for printing.

 

c) That the content does not violate any copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

 

d) That the content does not invade any individual's right of privacy or publicity.

 

e) That the content does not contain material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, inflammatory or abusive.

 

f) That the content does not break the law, facilitate breaking the law or violate any regulation as listed.

 

We reserve the right to refuse work submitted for printing at our discretion without explanation

 

 

PROOFS. Proofs of all work may be submitted for customer’s approval and the printer shall incur no liability for any errors not corrected by the customer in proofs so submitted. Customer’s alterations and additional proofs necessitated thereby shall be charged extra. When style, type or layout is left to the printer’s judgment, changes made by the customer shall be charged extra.

 

DAMAGE IN TRANSIT. Damage, loss of goods during transit or non-delivery must be reported in writing for UK destinations within three days from the date of dispatch for UK deliveries and within 14 days from the date of dispatch for International deliveries.

We will not consider any claims relating to damage or loss of goods unless the aforementioned requirements have been complied with

 

FORCE MAJEURE The printer shall be under no liability if he shall be unable to carry out any provisions of the contract for any reason beyond his reasonable control including (without limiting the foregoing): Act of God; legislation; war; fire; flood; drought; inadequacy or unsuitability of any instructions, electronic file or other data or materials supplied by the customer; failure of power supply; lock-out, strike or other action taken by employees in contemplation or furtherance of a dispute; or owing to any inability to procure materials required for the performance of the contract. During the continuance of such a contingency the customer may by written notice to the printer elect to terminate the contract and pay for work done and materials used, but subject thereto shall otherwise accept delivery when available.

 

 

LAW. These conditions and all other express and implied terms of the contract shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
